Recently, the superstar shared a video on his Instagram handle which was highly criticised by his fans and followers.
In the video posted online, Govinda was seen offering prayers in a church, wearing a yellow t-shirt and standing in front of a picture of Jesus Christ. Posting the video, he captioned it with a cross emoji and folded hand emoji. He was highly criticised by his followers for praying in front of Jesus.
The post went viral soon after it was posted on Instagram garnering over 5 lakh views. Thousand of users commented on the video criticising Govinda. One user wrote, “How can you do this? Govinda is another name of lord Krishna.” Some users also praised the actor and wished for his success in his upcoming works. A user commented, “May Jesus bless you for your future works. Amen!!” while another user wrote, “May your all wishes get fulfilled.” While some fans wrote harsh comments about visiting a church, some fans supported him stating that he is the type of person who respects all religions.
