[Watch] Aishwarya Rai Opens Up About Rumours Of Salman Khan Beating Her

Mumbai: Aishwarya Rai and Abhishek Bachchan’s marriage seems to have hit a rough patch, though there has been no confirmation from the couple or the family.

Amid rumours of separation, several old interviews of the couple have resurfaced.

One of the videos shows the actress dealing with rumours of Salman beating her.

Answering questions posed by journalist Karan Thapar, Aishwarya stated that she got injured after falling from the staircase outside her house and people started cooking up stories.

“I don’t know what to say… how can I answer why people claim or say what they do but the fact is that I slipped. I actually passed out and I fell down the stairs outside my house and that’s exactly what happened,” Aishwarya said.

When asked if her fall had no connection to Salman, Aishwarya replied, “Obviously, I mean yes but then obviously you can’t go around saying ‘oh I am too exhausted and I fainted because then you know, what then the industry would panic at that point in time and then turn around and say oh is it overwork and is this what’s happening’.”

In 2000, Aishwarya had a hectic shooting schedule for films namely ‘Hamara Dil Aapke Paas Hai’ and ‘Josh,’. The actress apparently slipped and fell down the stairs due to exhaustion.
