Mumbai: If you wanted to watch ‘Gangubai Kathiawadi’ but didn’t manage to visit the theatres, here’s good news. You can soon catch the Ala Bhatt movie on an OTT platform.
Having ruled the box office for weeks, since it was released in theatres on February 25, the Sanjay Leela Bhansali movie is set to be streamed on Netflix from April 26.
Netflix India took to Instagram and shared that its subscribers can watch ‘Gangubai Kathiawadi’ on the streamer from April 26 onwards.
“Dekho, dekho chaand Netflix pe aaraha hai #GangubaiKathiawadi arriving on 26th April,” Netflix India posted on Instagram.

One of the handful films to enter the 100-crore club this year, Gangubai Kathiawadi is based on a real story of how a young girl sold by a suitor into prostitution becomes a prominent and celebrated figure in the Kamathipura red-light district.
“Gangubai Kathiawadi is a very special film for me and we are humbled by the phenomenal response it has received globally. While the film has encouraged audiences to come back to the theatres, I am elated that the film will now reach even wider audience within India and around the world with Netflix,” Bhansali said.
Besides Alia, Gangubai Kathiawadi features Ajay Devgn, Jim Sarbh, Vijay Raaz and Seema Bhargava among others.
