New Delhi: Cops in Andhra Pradesh’s Guntur were in the process of destroying Rs 50 lakh worth of seized liquor at a dumping yard on Etukuru Road when they were caught unawares by the rush of men. This happened in the full view of the authorities.
Despite the presence of officers, a crowd gathered and snatched bottles as the destruction process began.
Oye…Oye…Oye…, shout policemen as scores of men, like bees to honey, swarmed the area and tried to run away with liquor bottles, some with success, laid out on the ground to be destroyed, showed a video from Andhra Pradesh.
The incident, the video of which is now in wide circulation, was reported on Monday from Guntur, nearly 40 km from the state capital Amaravati.
