Bhubaneswar: They would walk through the picturesque landscape, serene beaches, ancient temples, wildlife and breathtaking waterfalls of Odisha rediscovering relationships and understanding the true meaning of being a family. Here we are talking about the much-awaited new season of Zoom Studio ‘The Reunion’, the trailer of which will be released on Saturday.
The content studio has also partnered Odisha Tourism for the series to promote the tourism sites of the state.
The new season of 10 episodes, which captures the emotional roller coaster journey of the Pujari family drifted apart over the years and living separate lives, have been shot in Similipal, Bhitarkanika, Konark, Puri, Chilka, Dhenkanal, Badmul, Daringbadi, Koraput and Debrigarh.
“The series will highlight experiences and destinations of Odisha in a very organic manner. Be it ecotourism, camping, beaches, cuisine, road trips, adventure, or art and craft, these segments can be effectively promoted through storytelling. Emerging from a year of deferred travel plans, this partnership has come at a very opportune time,” Tourism Minister Jyoti Prakash Panigrahi had told the media.
The new season has an impressive star cast, which includes Lillette Dubey, Veer Rajwant Singh, Devika Vatsa, Prabal Panjabi, Kashmira Irani and KK Raina. Danish Aslam wears the director’s hat.
“Odisha is India’s best-kept secret destination that offers pristine locations and rich cultural heritage. With a compelling story set against the gorgeous landscapes of Odisha, the entire team is confident that the show will indulge our viewers in a visual treat,” COO and Executive President, Times Network Jagdish Mulchandani had said in March this year.
The Reunion marked the foray of The Zoom Studios into original content and created a record run with over 50 million views on Youtube and Facebook. It also received good reviews.
