Mumbai: Bollywood actor Anupam Kher shared a touching video of his interaction with a roadside comb seller on Instagram. The video has 2.4 million views as of now.
The actor while travelling in his car encountered Raju, a roadside vendor selling combs. Kher engaged Raju in a conversation and even bought a comb from him.
Sharing the video, Kher humorously wrote, “BALD AND BEAUTIFUL!!
Funny Encounter in Mumbai: Raju sells combs (कंघी) on the streets of Mumbai! I will never have a reason to buy a comb. But it was his birthday. And he felt if I buy one it will be a good beginning for him. I was sure he had seen better days in life. His smile was infectious and inspirational!”
“If you ever see him please buy his combs. Doesn’t matter if you have hair or not! He will brighten your day with his simple persona!” he added.
The video shows the actor engaged in a conversation with Raju. He asks Raju where he stays and where are his family members.
Raju tells Kher that he is from Ghatkopar, Mumbai.
The actor then buys a comb from him and tells him it’s not required for his bald head but as it is his birthday, he is buying one.
When Kher gives him money, he says, “I work very hard. Walked down from Bandra.”
Recognising him, the comb seller even asks, “Are you Anupam Kher?”
Kher wishes him Happy Birthday again and says, “May God Bless You.”
Raju thanks him and moves ahead.
A netizen commenting on the post writes, “How sweetly he acknowledged a Celebrity like Anupam jee and was so happily happy that he was talking to a Celebrity and yet he did not do anything big about it. So many of the people out there should learn his calm and poise. He chose to work instead of begging.”
Another netizen appreciatng the actor writes, “Bhagwanji Bas Mujhe Itna Successful banana ki Jaruratmand ko bhi Kuch Du toh 1000 Rs Se Kam nhi. Anupam sir also done a good job for helping the Uncle.”
