Malkangiri: Patients at Mathili Community Health Centre (CHC) in Odisha’s Malakangiri had a fright of their life when two bears entered the premises, adjoining National Highway 326, on Friday night.
According to sources, the bears crossed the national highway and entered the hospital premises around 9 pm. The incessant barking of the dogs caught the attention of the CHC staff and attendants of the patients, who then found the bears roaming on the premises.
After much effort, they managed to shoo away the bears around 11 pm.
It is being alleged that the Forest Department officials did not respond to the distress calls of the hospital staff.
