New Delhi: An IndiGo pilot’s in-flight announcement in Bhojpuri, recorded by a passenger, has gone viral, drawing praise online.
In-flight announcements are usually done in English and Hindi. So when the pilot started speaking in Bhojpuri, the passengers were pleasantly surprised.
“We, the IndiGo family welcome you all… Captain Prateek… Marsi, Sonika, Yashee and Komal are in charge of the cabin,” he announces. “The flight is not fully loaded. There are less passengers due to Diwali and Chatth,” he adds.
“All of you understand Bhojpuri or should I translate it in Hindi… Is my Bhojuri okay?” he then asks.
