Mumbai: It’s not unknown to Kartik Aaryan’s fans that he pursued an engineering degree in biotechnology from Navi Mumbai’s D Y Patil College of Engineering.
Despite making his acting debut with ‘Pyaar ke Punchnama’ as a 20-year-old in 2011, Kartik completed his engineering degree.
But it was only recently, more than a decade later, that the ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa’ received his engineering degree at D Y Patil University’s convocation ceremony.
On Saturday, Kartik shared moments from the event on social media. He is seen dancing with students and reflecting on his college days.
Wearing a customised college jersey with his name emblazoned on it, the 34-year-old said he was “too happy” to be part of the event in his college.
He engaged with a capacity crowd of students and parents in a packed auditorium, met his teachers, signed autographs and posed for pictures and selfies.
As students danced to the tune of ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3’ title track, Kartik joined them on stage and did the trademark steps.
“From sitting in the backbench to standing on the stage for my convocation – what a journey it’s been. DY Patil University, you gave me memories, dreams, and now, finally, my degree (only took over a decade!). Thank you, Vijay Patil Sir, my incredible teachers, and the young dreamers here for all the love – this feels like coming home,” Kartik wrote on Instagram along with the video.
