Bhubaneswar: The Odisha capital is among the first three cities in the country to adopt the toll free number 14420 to report hazardous cleaning.
The Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation launched the initiative under the Central government’s Safai Mitra Suraksha Challenge, which aims to ensure that no person needs to enter a sewer or septic tank.
City residents can use the helpline number, which has been integrated with the local helpline number to report manual scavenging and clogged sewer lines.
