Puri: National spokesperson of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Sambit Patra was seen in a new role at a village in Odisha’s Puri district. He was found working in the paddy field along with farmers, including women, at the village located under Puri Lok Sabha constituency from where Patra had unsuccessfully contested the last elections.
The BJP leader, attired in traditional outfit, also planted paddy saplings at Govindpur village located under Jenapur gram panchayat of Pipili area along with members of the farming community.
Patra also collected ‘maati’ (soil) from the area handed over by the village women in the ‘Amrit Kalash’, under ‘Meri Maati, Mera Desh’ campaign in the presence of villagers. The BJP spokesperson also narrated the programme in a post on X.
