Dubai: The iconic Burj Khalifa lit up in the colours of Indian national flag in honour of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
Modi arrived in Abu Dhabi today after concluding a two-day visit to France.
A video posted on Twitter by news agency ANI shows Burj Khalifa, the world’s tallest building, being covered in saffron, white and green. PM Modi’s picture is also on display on the building along with a text reading, “Welcome honourable Prime Minister Narendra Modi”.

On arrival in the UAE, Modi said he was looking forward to holding talks with HH Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, UAE President and Ruler of Abu Dhabi.
“Landed in Abu Dhabi. I look forward to the deliberations with HH Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, which will further deepen India-UAE cooperation,” the Indian PM tweeted.
In a separate tweet, Modi shared a picture of himself with the UAE president.
“Grateful to Crown Prince HH Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan for welcoming me at the airport today,” he tweeted.
Modi was in France on July 13 and July 14, holding wide-ranging talks with French President Emmanuel Macron and attending Bastille Day celebrations.
Modi was conferred with the Grand Cross of Legion of Honour, France’s highest civilian and military honour.
