Bhubaneswar: Comptroller & Auditor General of India (CAG) Girish Chandra Murmu inaugurated the new office building of AG in Bhubaneswar on Monday.
The retired Odia IAS officer took charge as CAG in August 2020 after resigning as Jammu and Kashmir lieutenant governor.
A native of Betnoti in Mayurbhanj district, the 1985-batch Gujarat cadre IAS officer was the principal secretary to Prime Minister Narendra Modi when the latter was the Chief Minister of Gujarat. He is considered to be a close confidante of the Prime Minister.
