Mumbai: The opening of the Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre in Mumbai’s Jio World Centre was a starry event. It was a veritable celeb call with the who’s who of Bollywood present. Even Rajinikanth made an appearance, dressed simply in black, accompanied by his daughter Soundarya. Bollywood showed up in numbers – Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh held hands, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan brought daughter Aaradhya along, Alia Bhatt glittered in a saree while Salman Khan struck a pose with Shah Rukh Khan’s family – wife Gauri, son Aryan and daughter Suhana. Then there were the newly-weds Siddharth Malhotra and Kiara Advani, Saif-Kareena and Karishma, Amir Khan with all his three children and son-in-law, Shahid Kapoor and Mira Rajput, Shraddha Kapoor, Sonam Kapoor and of course the entire Ambani clan with the Piramals.
The overseas guests included – Priyanka Chopra and her husband Nick Jonas. They were pictured at Mumbai airport in the afternoon with daughter Malti Marie (on her first visit to India).
Talking about NMACC, Isha Ambani said, “The Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre is so much more than a space – it is the culmination of my mother Nita Ambani’s passion for arts, culture, and her love for India. She has always dreamt of creating a platform that would be welcoming to audiences, artists, performers, and creatives at large. Her vision for NMACC is to showcase the best of what India has to offer to the world and bring the world to India.”
The special opening night had Feroz Abbas Khan’s musical masterpiece, The Great Indian Musical: Civilization to Nation, with still more—including the likes of Tom Holland and Zendayaset to arrive today for the India in Fashion exhibition curated by Hamish Bowles, Vogue reported.
