[Watch] ‘Code Name Triranga’ Trailer: Parineeti Breaks Out Of Her Shell In Spy-Action Thriller

Mumbai: After Kangana Ranaut’s ‘Dhaakad’, which initially created much hype for the stunt sequences and foreign locations bombed at the box office, it would be interesting to see what ‘Code Name: Triranga’, charting a similar path, will offer.

The nearly-three minute trailer of the film, featuring Parineeti Chopra, presents the actress in a never-seen-before avatar doing kickass action sequences accompanied by flying bullets and gunshots. The story follows Durga, a special ops officer sent on a spy mission ‘Triranga’ to encounter terrorist Khalid Omar (played by Sharad Kelkar) in Turkey, where she would meet her love interest Mirza Ali (played by Harrdy Sandhu). Her identity is exposed and she is at risk in Turkey. Stuck between her love interest and her patriotism, she has to choose between one to move forward.

The inappropriate mix of a love story with patriotic dialogues seems to deviate this spy-thriller from its main direction. However, the stunt sequences and action scenes shown in the trailer deserve all the credit.

The film has been produced by T-series and Reliance Entertainment and is slated for an October 14 release.
