[Watch] Cong Leader Distributes Kashmiri Apples On Trichy Streets To Celebrate Party’s Possible Success In J&K

Srinagar: With Congress-National Conference alliance leading in at least 50 assembly seats in Jammu and Kashmir around noon on Tuesday, celebrations in Congress units across the country kicked off. What caught attention was the celebration in Tamil Nadu’s Trichy unit.

Even as the counting was underway, Trichy Congress president L Rex took to the streets with his supporters to celebrate the possible victory of Congress and its ally in the northern Union Territory.

Rex was spotted distributing Kashmiri apples among the people. His supporters and other Congress workers bust crackers to celebrate the J&K Assembly election trends.

The alliance has already crossed the halfway mark in Jammu and Kashmir, according to latest reports around noon.

According to the data on Election Commission of India website around 12.30pm, the NC was leading on 42 seats and Congress on 8 seats, the BJP was leading on 27 seats. The alliance of INC and NC was ahead on at least 50 seats. The counting of votes began at 8 am amid heavy security arrangements.
