Puri: In view of the recent spike in COVID-19 cases across Odisha, a massive disinfection drive was undertaken at Puri’s Srimandir and its periphery on Sunday.
The Jagannath Temple will remain closed for public darshan every Sunday for the sanitisation work, beginning today.
The decision to sanitise the temple and impose COVID-19 guidelines strictly was taken at a recent meeting of the Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA).
The SJTA also took a decision to sanitise the temple and its periphery at night time twice a week.
