[Watch] DG Fire Services Inaugurates Civil Defence Training Institute In Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar: The new building of Civil Defence Training Institute was inaugurated on the premises of Odisha Fire And Disaster Response Academy (OFDRA) here on Tuesday.

Director General of Fire Services, Commandant General Home Guards and Director Civil Defence, Satyajit Mohanty inaugurated the facility which will provide training to Civil Defence volunteers.

Built at a cost of Rs 1.92 crore the building will also be utilised to create awareness among public through various programmes. It will also provide service to people during disasters.

Presently, a total of 11,527 volunteers have registered at Civil Defence Training Institutes in Khurda, Koraput, Sundargarh, Angul, Dhenkanal, Balasore, Bhadrak, Kendrapara and Jagatsinghpur.
