Meerut: The video of a shocking incident from Uttar Pradesh’s Meerut has gone viral on social media. The video shows a ‘drunk’ man driving his car on a platform of the Meerut Cantt railway station. Not just that, he drives close to a moving train that was departing the station.
The exact date of the incident is not known. As soon as the passengers saw the car on the platform, they panicked. This led to chaos at the platform. The driver of the car was confronted by the passengers.
The car, as seen in the video, has a Jharkhand number plate.

Meanwhile, SP GRP Mordabad confirmed the incident on its official X handle and claimed that the youth was under the influence of alcohol. He was detained for questioning by the GRP. Though the motive behind his driving the car on to the platform remains unknown. Cops have seized the vehicle.
A similar incident took place last month. A drunk man had driven his car onto Gwalior’s railway platform in an attempt to ‘race’ with a train.
The man was identified as 34-year-old Nitin Rathore of Adityapuram. As soon as Railway Protection Force (RPF) officers noticed the man, they stopped the car and detained the man.
The vehicle was seized. Nitin was booked under Section 153 of the Indian Railways Act.
