Bhubaneswar: A fire has been raging in Chandaka forest on the outskirts of Bhubaneswar.
The fire was first noticed by locals of Bharatpur who said the fire brigade officials, police and 112 services have been alerted.
According to sources, the fire had engulfed a bamboo forest at the veterinary farm in front of Kalinga Studio. Two teams of fire fighters have reached the spot to douse the flames.
The forest is home to elephants and other species of wild animals.
