Bhubaneswar: Forest officials rescued a fishing cat, which had fallen into a water body near an under constructed bridge on the outskirts of the Odisha capital, on Wednesday.
In a video that has gone viral, the feline can be seen struggling in the waterbody and people lowering an iron board with the help of a pulley for it to hop onto it. Once on the board, it was pulled out and released.
IFS officer Susanta Nanda also tweeted a video of the rescue operation. He also expressed concern over the dwindling number of the fishing cat.
