[Watch] Here’s How Akhilesh Alleged Sambhal Violence To Be ‘Planned Conspiracy’ In Lok Sabha

New Delhi: Declining the allegations raised by Akhilesh Yadav in Lok Sabha on the Sambhal violence, the BJP on Tuesday claimed that no one was killed in the police firing on November 24.

Lok Sabha on Tuesday witnessed Akhilesh Yadav alleging that innocent people were killed in the police firing. The Samajwadi Party MP alleged that the violence, triggered during the survey of a mosque, was orchestrated as part of a “well-planned conspiracy”.

The MP alleged that people were shot dead in the police firing, others were injured as bullets were fired at ‘Sambhal’s harmony.’ Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla allowed Akhilesh to speak on the matter during the Zero Hour. However, the MP had skipped the INDIA bloc’s protest against Adani in the Parliament complex on Tuesday.

“Sambhal is regarded for its harmony. But the sudden incident has taken place in a well-planned manner. Bullets have been fired at Sambhal’s harmony. The incident is a well-planned conspiracy. The talks of digging there by the BJP and its supporters will bring an end to the communal harmony in the country. The bypolls in UP were earlier scheduled for November 13, they moved it to November 20,” Akhilesh said, alleging the police opened fire using their “government and private weapons.”

He also alleged bias on court’s part that had ordered a survey of the Shahi Jama Masjid in Sambhal ‘without listening to the Muslims.’ He also alleged that the Circle Officer had abused the people who had gathered outside the mosque during the survey and cops baton charged them. “After this, police opened fire with their government and private weapons, during which dozens were injured and 5 innocent were killed,” he alleged. He further demanded that a murder case should be registered against the police and Sambhal administration.

BJP’s response

BJP’s Amroha MP Kanwar Tanwar Singh rejected Akhilesh’s allegations, claiming that no one had died in the police firing. He rather alleged that people died in the firing by the protestors.

“What happened in Sambhal is similar to what we saw in the Sabarmati Report. Akhilesh is speaking all lies,” he told CNN-News 18.
