Jaipur: In a beautiful display of unity and brotherhood, Hindu men in Jaipur joined Muslims in celebrating Eid-ul-Fitr by showering them with flowers. The heartwarming moment, captured in a viral video, took place at the Eidgah on Jaipur-Delhi Road, where members of the Hindu Muslim Unity Committee participated in the festivities.

A Symbol of Togetherness

The video shows Hindu men, dressed in saffron scarves, standing on an elevated platform and showering petals on Muslim worshippers below, including children, who were seen joyfully celebrating the festival. The gesture was widely appreciated on social media, with many praising it as a shining example of India’s secular ethos and communal harmony.

Eid Celebrations Across India

The spirit of Eid was felt nationwide, with large gatherings at historic mosques and monuments. In Delhi, devotees offered prayers at Jama Masjid, expressing wishes for the country’s progress and unity. A foreign student participating in the celebrations remarked, “Jama Masjid is a beautiful place. Praying here with everyone was a wonderful experience.”

In Ayodhya, security was heightened to ensure peaceful prayers, with police conducting foot patrols. IG Praveen Kumar stated, “We are vigilant to maintain harmony, especially during Navratri and Eid.” Meanwhile, in Agra, worshippers gathered at the Taj Mahal, exchanging hugs and greetings against the iconic backdrop.

Political Leaders Extend Greetings

Prime Minister Narendra Modi took to X (formerly Twitter) to extend his wishes, posting, “Greetings on Eid-ul-Fitr. May this festival enhance the spirit of hope, harmony, and kindness in our society.” Other leaders also shared messages of unity, reinforcing the festival’s message of peace and brotherhood.
