Bengaluru: Karnataka Police have rescued two children who were kidnapped from their Belagavi home. The shocking video of the kidnapping had gone viral on the internet. The video shows two men breaking into the house of a businessman armed with weapons and quietly abducting the children, aged 3 and 4 years respectively on Thursday afternoon.
Police on Friday morning also arrested three suspects linked to the case with the help of CCTV footage, Times Of India reported.
According to police, the kidnappers arrived in a car. At the time of the incident, only the children’s grandmother was at home with them, claimed reports.
While two men barged into the house and came out carrying the children, the third accomplice waited for them in a car parked a few metres away. The parents later lodged a case with Athani Police, TOI reported quoting police officers.
According to reports, one of the abductors confessed during questioning that he had incurred a loss in the business run by the children’s father, who refused to compensate him for the loss. As revenge, he decided to kidnap the children.
