Bhubaneswar: India captain Rohit Sharma engaged in banter with Sports Star cameraman, Prasanna Pradhan, a native of Shankarpur in Choudwar of Odisha’s Cuttack district, during the 2nd T20I against Sri Lanka on Saturday at HPCA Stadium in Dharamsala. And the video has gone viral.
This was one moment that stood out for the cricket fans as Rohit was not able to do much with his bat and got dismissed for just one run in the very first over despite India dominating the series with two wins.
In the video shared by BCCI, Rohit can be seen having a cup of coffee to beat the bone-chilling evening at the hill station while watching the batting masterclass put on by the middle-order from the dressing room. On catching a glimpse of himself on the big screen that’s set in the stadium, he stared directly into the camera and offered his beverage to the man behind the lens with all seriousness before bursting into laughter.
Prasanna is heading the Star Sports camera team for the Live Telecast of ICC T20 World Cup matches. He was the camera in charge of the last World cup Hockey held in Bhubaneswar. He has been working with the sports channel for the last nine years.
During his stint as the cameraman, Prasanna has interacted with legendary cricketers, including Sachin Tendulkar, Sunil Gavaskar, MS Dhoni and Virat Kohli.
