Patna: Responding to a report about his divorce case, Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) president Lalu Prasad Yadav’s son Tej Pratap Yadav has threatened to release video clips of alleged physical and verbal abuse he and his family suffered after his marriage.
In an over 7-minute video, he said that some channels are publishing misleading and fake reports despite a court’s order against the same. “I can come out with countless video clips and other evidence to prove the physical and verbal abuse suffered by me, my parents and my siblings,” he claimed.
Tej Pratap further said that he had not shared the evidence and “maintained silence” since filing a petition seeking divorce four years ago since it involved a young woman, but warned that he might pull no punches if the smear campaign did not end.
The mercurial RJD MLA married Aishwarya Rai, a granddaughter of former chief minister Daroga Prasad Rai, in May 2018. Their union, however, lasted for less than six months.
