[Watch] Lawyers Fire In Air At Tis Hazari Court After Fight Between Rival Groups

New Delhi: The Tis Hazari Court witnessed a bizarre and chaotic scene here on Wedneday as an incident of firing was reported from the court premises.

According to police, a fight broke out between rival groups of lawyers, who were engaged in a heated argument. Some of the lawyers fired in the air, causing panic.

Thankfully, no injury was reported.

Police personnel present at the spot said the situation was under control.

Condemning the incident, Bar Council of Delhi chairman KK Manan said a detailed inquiry will be initiated.

“A detailed inquiry into the matter will be undertaken to find out if the weapons were licensed or not. Even if the weapons were licensed, no lawyer or anyone else can use them like this inside or around court premises,” Manan was quoted as saying by ANI.

Joint CP-Central Range Parmaditya also assured a through probe into the incident.

“Investigation will be conducted from all angles. We will probe how the arms were carried inside,” he told newspersons, adding that no one has been detained till now.
