Patna: In a daring incident, a man tried to attack Bihar chief minister Nitish Kumar during a programme at his hometown Bakhtiarpur on Sunday.
Before he could do any damage, the man was rounded up by security personnel and handed over to local police.
A video posted by ANI shows a man rushing towards the chief minister who was about to garland a statue. The man gets within striking distance on the stage when the CM’s securitypersons catch hold of him and drag him away.

The accused has been identified as Shankar alias Chhotu, a resident of Mohammadpur area in Bakhtiarpur. He runs a small jewellery shop in the area, India Today reported.
The motive of his action was not clear. He is being interrogated at the police station.
