Hyderabad: A massive fire broke out at Ankura Hospital here on Saturday evening.
The fire incident, near pillar No. 68 of PVNR Expressway in the Jyothinagar area of Mehdipatnam, originated on the top floor around 5.30 pm.

According to the hospital management, outdoor lights on the terrace caught fire due to a short-circuit. Flames then spread fast to the top floor.
Police and fire department were informed immediately, and five fire tenders reached the scene. Despite the intensity of the fire, no casualties were reported as the flames were brought under control within an hour.
The hospital evacuated patients from rooms in proximity to the affected area.
