New Delhi: Filmmaker Rohit Shetty, on Friday, presented Deepika Padukone as Lady Singham. Shetty posted a still of Deepika from the film and called her, his ‘hero’. Deepika, who is expecting her first child, was seen dressed as a cop in the still.
Deepika Padukone is Rohit Shetty’s first female cop in his copverse. Shetty had unveiled her first look as Shakti Shetty in October last year. Now, he dropped a sneak peek of Deepika dressed as a cop in a new still from the film. The best part was the actor recreating the ‘Singham’ hook step.
Sharing the same, Rohit wrote, “My heroâ€æ reel mein bhi aur real mein bhi (Both in reel and real life) Lady Singham!!! @deepikapadukone (sic).”
Deepika Padukone plays Lady Singham in Rohit Shetty’s copverse ‘Singham Again’ The actor’s character from the film was introduced last year. Sharing the same, Rohit wrote, “Naari Sita ka bhi roop hai aur Durga ka bhi (In women, there is the form of Sita and also of Durga) Meet the most brutal and violent officer of our cop universe Shakti Shetty my Lady Singham Deepika Padukone (sic).”
Deepika shared a glimpse of her ‘tashan wali walk’ (walk with attitude) as Lady Singham at the song launch of ‘Current Laga Re.’
‘Singham Again’ features an ensemble star cast comprising Ajay Devgn, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Arjun Kapoor, Akshay Kumar, Tiger Shroff and Ranveer Singh.
