The eruption of Mount Etna, Europe’s largest active volcano made for a spectacular sight on Monday night. Pictures showed explosions sending lava rocks flying into the air, leaving orange streams trickling down the slopes.
Lava flowed into an uninhabited valley while some ash blew over some of the nearby towns, India Today reported quoting Associated Press. The local population was not at risk due to the eruption while the volcano continued to be active on Tuesday.
