Bhubaneswar: Dismissing Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s claim about BJP forming government in Odisha after the upcoming polls, BJD president and Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Monday said that the saffron party has been daydreaming about coming to power in the state.
“BJP has been daydreaming since many days,” said Naveen responding to a question from his trusted aide V K Pandian on BJP claims to form government in Odisha this time.
Naveen’s response came shortly after PM Modi asserted at a BJP election rally in Berhampur that June 4 is the expiry date for Naveen Patnaik-led BJD government in Odisha.
“I have come here to invite you for the swearing in ceremony of BJP CM in Bhubaneswar on June 10,” Modi said while addressing a rally at Kanisi under Berhampur parliamentary constituency.
Naveen, who undertook whirlwind tours of Kalahandi and Nuapada district to address election rallies at Bhawanipatna and Khariar, was responding to Pandian’s query while travelling. Pandian shared a video on the BJD chief’s response on Instagram.
