Puri: New Odia film ‘Mayavee’ went on floor with mahurat shot in front of Jagannath Temple in Puri on the auspicious occasion of Sarswati Puja on Saturday.
The mahurat clap of the film was given by School and Mass Education Minister Samir Das in presence of the actors, actresses, producer, director and crew members.
Actors Amlan and Bhumika play the lead role in the film of suspense and thriller genre, said national award winning filmmaker Tapan Dash, who is the producer of the film. “We plan to complete the film as soon as possible and release it in the theatres across Odisha,” he added.
Actress Sneha, who also plays an important role in ‘Mayavee’, said the script is very strong and experienced artistes are playing in different role. “I hope it will turn out a good movie for entertainment of the audience,” she said.

Another actress Arlin Ankita said since it is a crime thriller, which is rarely attempted in Bollywood, the people of all generations will like it. Besides, experienced filmmakers are involved in the project and hence the final product will be entertaining and appealing.
“This is my second film with director Sudhansu Sahu. I started my film career under his direction. So I feel comfortable and look forward to the shooting of the film,” she said.
