Mumbai: Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman won many hearts with her gesture.
Speaking at an event in Mumbai on Saturday, National Securities Depository Limited (NSDL) Managing Director Padmaja Chunduru paused mid-speech and gestured the hotel staff for water.
What happened next won everyone’s hearts. Sitharaman, who too was attending the event, left her seat, walked across the stage and offered a bottle of water to Chunduru.
Touched by the gesture, Chunduru thanked the Finance Minister and resumed her speech as the crowd applauded. The video of the incident has gone viral.
The event being held in Mumbai was to celebrate the silver jubilee of NSDL on Saturday.
