Bhubaneswar: After grabbing headlines for stopping Bollywood star Salman Khan at Mumbai Airport recently, a CISF officer has landed in trouble for speaking about the incident to the media.
According to reports, Salman had arrived at the airport en route to Russia to shoot for his upcoming film ‘Tiger 3’.
However, ASI of CISF Somnath Mohanty, who was manning the gate, stopped the star and asked him to undergo the mandatory security check. He also asked the paparazzi hounding Salman to step back.
Later, Mohanty, who hails from Rayagada district, shared a video of the incident with a media outlet based out of Odisha and also spoke to the organisation.
Angered over this, CISF has seized Mohanty’s mobile phone. “Mohanty interacted with the media and it is a breach of protocol. His mobile phone was seized to ensure he is not able to speak with the media further about the incident,” a CISF officer was quoted as saying by The New Indian Express.
The video has also gone viral on social media with netizens praising the Odia officer for his diligence and dedication to duty.
