Bhubaneswar: Sachin Behera, the boy from Odisha who set a Guinness Book of World Records in 2019 of 137 knee-strikes in a minute, will attempt another world record in knee-strikes on Sunday.
Behera, who is from Nuapada district in Odisha, aims to break the world record of Pakistani boxer Muhammad Rashid.
Known as the Bruce Lee of Pakistan, Rashid holds the record for the highest number of full-contact knee-strikes using alternate legs with 5-kg ankle weight in a minute.
Rashid made 100 knee-strikes with ankle weight in a minute. Behera has set a target of 120 strikes in a minute with 5-kg ankle weight.
Behera aims to break the record at an event in the state capital on Sunday.
Behera, a physiotherapy student, is also a sprinter and runs 5 km daily. He is keen to run the 100-m race in the Olympics.
