Jharsuguda: The air connectivity between Odisha’s Jharsuguda and Chennai started on Friday with the first direct flight landing at Veer Surendra Sai Airport, here on Friday evening. The SpiceJet flights between the two destinations will be available all seven days a week.
As per reports, the Spicejet flight carrying 93 passengers from Chennai landed at the airport here at at 3.20 pm, said the airport Director Kishore Kumar Senapati.
The flight departed at 3.50 pm with 84 passengers, said airport sources, Senapati added.
The services will be of great advantage for the people of the region who were dependent on the southern state of Tamil Nadu for health care facilities.
