Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Thursday assured the BJP leaders of resolving the mandi issue in the state.
Talking to mediapersons after a meeting with the Chief Minister at Naveen Nivas, deputy leader of the Opposition Bishnu Sethi said the Chief Minister agreed to resolve the mandi issue and give a statement to this effect in the State Assembly in the afternoon.
On the prevailing impasse in the State Assembly, Sethi informed that the Chief Minister said he will take up the matter with the Speaker to convene an all-party meeting in a couple of days.
About the demand of the ruling members seeking apology by Deogarh BJP MLA Subash Panigrahi for his suicide attempt in the House, he said Panigrahi will tender apology only after the remaining paddy of the farmers is procured.
