Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Wednesday saluted the spirit of the healthcare providers engaged in the fight against the novel coronavirus in Odisha.
He announced that doctors, paramedics and healthcare workers would be paid the salary for April, May, June, July in the month of April for the convenience for their family members.
“They are in the first line of defence and providing relentless services amid these difficult conditions,” he said.
The Chief Minister said that he has directed the Odisha police to take strict against people showing disrespect to the healthcare providers or misbehaving with them or hampering their work. “They need to be encouraged and appreciated,” he said, while expressing gratitude to them.
