Bhubaneswar: Video of the sangeet ceremony of Odisha-cadre IAS officers Ananya Das and Chanchal Rana has gone viral. They tied the knot at a hotel in Guwahati on Monday night.
In the video, Sambalpur Collector Ananya Das can be dancing to song, “Sona Kitna Sona Hai”. She is then joined by the 2014-batch IAS officer Rana, who is currently serving as Balangir Collector. The duo then shake a leg to the “Ghagra” song from Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani and “Aadha Sa Wada Kabhi” from Jab We Met.

The Balangir collector had also joined the dancing baaratis as the procession neared the wedding venue amid fireworks last night. Family members, relatives and close friends attended the event and wished the newly married couple.
The duo had exchanged rings on February 19 in the presence of family members and close relatives at Das’ official residence in Sambalpur. This is second wedding for both Das and Rana. Earlier, Das had married IAS Officer Abdaal M. Akhtar, who is now posted as the Collector of Koraput. Similarly, Rana happens to be ex-husband of Rayagada Collector Swadha Dev Singh.
Das, a 2015-batch IAS officer of Gujarat cadre, hails from Assam. After getting married to Odisha-cadre IAS officer Akhtar, she was allowed to change her cadre.
