[Watch] Odisha MP Exhorts People To Stay At Home With Corona Folk Song

Bhubaneswar: BJD MP from Aska Pramila Bisoyi is raising awareness about COVID-19 and the precautionary measures to fight the deadly through her newly-composed folk song, 

Known for composing songs on women empowerment, the MP’s new song focuses on the benefits of social distancing and how important it is to follow the lockdown guidelines with dedication and discipline. Stop loitering and stay at home, she says.

The government will only be able to contain the spread of the infection with the cooperation of people, the song stresses.


Odisha has so far reported 54 confirmed cases of COVID-19 with one death and 12 recoveries.

Leading BJD’s flagship Mission Shakti programme for women, Bisoyi, also a self-help group activist, had emerged victorious from the Aska Lok Sabha seat in May last year with a margin of over two lakh votes.
