[Watch] Odisha Police Raid Maoist Ammo Dump; Check Details Of Articles Recovered

Malkangiri: Huge quantity of explosives and ammunition were seized during An intensive search and area domination conducted by Malkangiri Police in Swabhiman Anchal, bordering Andhra Pradesh.

The Maoist dump, which is suspected to have belonged to Andhra Odisha Border Special Zonal Committee (AOBSZC), was recovered in a forested area near Maribeda village following a raid on a basis on specific intelligence inputs, said SDPO Abhilash G.

“The seizure include generator, codex wire and 6 electrical detonators and electric wire. The codex wire was kept with multiple knots, possibly for multiplying its blasting power. It is suspected that these articles were intended at making improvised explosive device and targeting civilians and police forces,” he added.

The SDPO described the seizure as a major jolt to the subversive and anti-national designs of Maoists in the area. Combing and search operations are on, he added.
