[Watch] Odisha: Puri Collector Appeals People To Take COVID Jab, Stay Safe

Puri: The Puri district administration has appealed people to come forward and get vaccinated. District Collector Samarth Verma made the appeal after a slowdown in vaccine coverage was observed in the district.

In a message, Verma said the district achieve 82 per cent target in first dose vaccination while its is only 54 per cent for second dose.

Citing the figures, he said some people are not interested in getting vaccinated while some have followed government orders clearly. He said the vaccination centres have reported a slowdown in  the flow of beneficiaries. The mobile vaccination teams which are providing the facility by going from village to village too are facing hardships in convincing the people, said the Collector and requested everyone eligible to get vaccinated.
