Bhubaneswar: The Lalchnd Group, on the occasion of the birthday of its founder-chairman Sunjoy Hans, on Thursday announced the official launch of the Lalchnd Foundation.
Established solely for the benefit of underprivileged sections of the society, the foundation will be involved in various projects and activities towards the cause with immediate effect.
Keeping with the government’s conviction in plasma therapy as a potent weapon in Odisha’s ongoing war against the coronavirus pandemic, the foundation will provide financial assistance to COVID-19 cured persons, living below the poverty line, who come forward to donate their plasma at any of the designated hospitals.
When asked about the thought and practicality behind launching this initiative amid the pandemic that has stalled the economy, Hans said that he had been working on this initiative long before the outbreak.
“Besides, there’s never a wrong time to do the right thing,” he added.
