New Delhi: Olympic hero Sushil Kumar was on Sunday sent to 6-day police custody in the Sagar Rana murder case.
Sushil’s advocate BS Jakhar informed that the 37-year-old wrestler was remanded for questioning vis-à-vis his alleged involvement in the death of 23-year-old wrestler Rana following a brawl at Delhi’s Chhatrasal Stadium earlier this month.
India’s only double Olympic medal winner, who had been on the run for over a fortnight, was finally arrested on Sunday morning along with co-accused Ajay from Mundka area in outer Delhi.
Additional public prosecutor Atul Shrivastav said that Delhi Police should interrogate the accused about the motive of the crime.
