Bhubaneswar: The OMFED sweet curd got a famous Brand Ambassador on Wednesday.
After inaugurating the modern mega OMFED dairy plant at Arilo, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik spoke about White Revolution in the state and had a few spoonfuls of the sweet curd. “Excellent, we must order it,” the CM added while relishing it.
Set up at a cost of Rs 263 crore, the plant has the capacity to process five lakh litres of milk a day. Equipped with advanced facilities, the plant will also produce 30,000-litre curd, 10,000-litre buttermilk, 5000-litre lassi, three-ton butter, eight-ton clarified butter, three-ton cheese, 5000 litres flavoured milk and 20,000-ton milk powder.
The construction of the plant was awarded to the National Dairy Development Board (NDDB) which had started the work in November 2018.
