Mumbai: Close on the heels of the success of ‘Kadak Singh’, Pankaj Tripathi is set to floor fans with his next project.
The trailer of ‘Main Atal Hoon’ has been released, in which the versatile Tripathi plays former Indian Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee with aplomb.
The film will be released in cinemas on January 19, 2024.
The biopic drama traces Vajpayee’s journey from a young leader of the masses to one of the best Parliamentarians and Prime Minister.
The 3-minute-37-second trailer also provides a glimpse of Vajpayee’s sense of humour and love for poetry.
Watch the trailer shared on social media platforms:
Vajpayee had three stints as India’s PM – just 16 days in 1996, 13 months between 1998 and 1999, and then a full term from 1999 to 2004.
Vajpayee, who was conferred with the Bharat Ratna in 2015, passed away in August 2018 at the age of 93.
Directed Ravi Jadhav, ‘Main Atal Hoon’ has been written by Ravi and Rishi Virmani, and produced by Vinod and Kamlesh Bhanushali.
“More than the film, the journey of playing Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee is really close to my heart. The man is truly a legend, and we are honoured to bring his inspiring story to the world. I hope audiences appreciate our efforts to bring in the legacy of Atal ji onto the big screens,” Tripathi said recently.
