New Delhi: Bollywood actress Parineeti Chopra got engaged to politician Raghav Chadha in a high-profile engagement ceremony on Saturday evening.
Apart from family members and close friends, Chadha’s fellow-AAP colleagues, including Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal, were among 150-odd guests who blessed the couple.
The star attraction, however, was Parineeti’s cousin Priyanka Chopra who flew in from the US on a whirlwind visit to attend the function.
After Chadha shared the first pictures of the couple, social media was flooded with photos and videos of the engagement ceremony, which was held at Kapurthala House in Connaught Place.
In one of the most heartwarming videos, Parineeti is seen cosying up to her fiancé as she sings her ‘Ve Mahi’ song – from the film ‘Kesari’ — to him.
Raghav reciprocated by planting a kiss on her cheek.
Watch the video posted by a Twitter user:
Priyanka shared an adorable post for her younger sister.
“Congratulations Tisha and Raghav… Cannot wait for the wedding! So happy for you both and the families so fun to catch up with the fam!” she wrote on Instagram and shared some pictures of the happy family at the engagement.
Priyanka, who is now a global star, shares a very close bond with her cousin.
She came alone as her husband Nick Jonas is at present busy with his band Jonas Brothers’ tour, while daughter Malti Marie is too young to undertake such a strenuous and hectic schedule.
