London: In a dramatic crash, a small plane veered off the runway, crashed into a fence and shattered into pieces.
The mishap took place at Aden Adde International Airport in African country Somalia’s capital city Mogadishu on Tuesday.
Video footage of the crash shows the aircraft skidding off the tarmac and breaking through a protective barrier. The plane’s wing caught fire and debris were scattered in various directions.

The Halla Airlines flight had 30 passengers and a crew of four on board. Fortunately, there was no loss of life, with only minor injuries being reported.
“The Somali Civil Aviation Authority (SCAA) would like to reaffirm that the preliminary report will be released once the current investigation concludes,” a representative of SCAA said.
What has left experts puzzled is the fact that the pilot had not signalled any distress or reported any issues to air traffic control before the incident took place.
Assuring their commitment to transparency, Halla Airlines said the facts leading to the accident will be established once the cockpit voice recorder and black box are analysed.
Somali minister of Transport and Civil Aviation Fardowsa Osman Egal informed that two persons had sustained injuries in the accident.
