[Watch] POK Will Say ‘Main Bhi Bharat Hoon’ One Day: Rajnath Singh In Morocco

Rabat: Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, addressing the Indian diaspora in Rabat, Morocco, on Monday, asserted that Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) will one day voluntarily embrace its identity with India.

“POK will be ours on its own. Demands have already started surfacing there, you must have heard the slogans. Five years ago, while addressing the Indian Army in Kashmir, I had said we won’t need to attack or capture POK. It will itself say, ‘Main bhi Bharat hoon.’ That day will come,” Singh told the audience.

He underlined India’s response in the recent terrorist attack in Pahalgam — Operation Sindoor — as restrained and calibrated, saying that though the armed forces were given full operational freedom, deliberate measures were taken to avoid religious polarisation:  “We did not look at anyone’s religion before responding. We looked at their actions,” he said, quoting the Ramcharitmanas, “Humne dharm dekh kar nahi, karm dekh kar maara hai.”

Singh also spoke of India’s trajectory under Prime Minister Narendra Modi, highlighting its rise in global economic rankings from 11th to 4th, its expanding start-up ecosystem (from about 18 unicorns a decade ago to over 118 today), and robust growth in defence production and exports — over ₹1.5 lakh crore in production and above ₹23,000 crore in exports to more than 100 countries.

He praised the Indian community abroad for their integrity, hard work and role as ambassadors of India’s values, while they in turn expressed pride in the country’s assertive diplomacy, economic rise, and firm defence posture.
